City official moots spokespersons for ongoing ODA projects

Official development assistance (ODA) projects in Ho Chi Minh City should have official spokespeople when they encounter problems, Vice Chairman of the city Peoples Committee Nguyen Thanh Tai has suggested.

The appointment of a spokesperson will help avoid the dissemination of distorted information about a project, Tai said in a directive on implementation of ODA-funded projects.

The directive calls on management agencies and management boards of ODA projects and peoples committees of localities to strengthen inspections and supervision to guarantee construction progress and project quality, and prevent negative practices and the loss of materials.
