HCMC holds seminar on protection of rivers

A national seminar on protecting the Saigon and Dong Nai Rivers in Ho Chi Minh City is taking place May 30 and 31 with the participation of more than 200 officials and scientists.

The participants will discuss issues and solutions concerning the preservation and protection of the water in both rivers.

The two-day seminar will also focus on guaranteeing sustainable development and the living conditions of 15 million people residing along the rivers.

Topics of waste treatment and environmental pollution as well as an exchange of experiences in environmental education will also be brought forward at the seminar.
