Nam Dinh: Acute diarrhea disease under control


– Since August 15, acute diarrhea disease in Nam Dinh province has been under control and no new patient has been reported, according to the province’s Department of Health.

Since June 17, 365 people in 43 communes, wards of 7 districts and Nam Dinh city in the province have been reported infected, 168 of them were tested positive to the cholera bacteria.

Until August 20, only 5 patients had still been treated in hospitals in Nam Dinh.

Earlier, the province’s unit in charge had taken urgent measures to stamp out the disease.

The reason for this disease in the province is unhygienic food and polluted rural environment.
