Vietnam karate athletes bow out of Asian Cup with heads held high

The Vietnamese karate team bagged one gold and seven bronze medals at the 8th Asian Cadet Karate Championship organized in Singapore from August 22-27.
The achievements helped Vietnam finish eighth of 22 participant countries, with over 400 athletes fighting for medals at the competition.
Vietnamese gold medalist Nguyen Tran Minh Van won it in the kumite 60kg category by taking down his Japanese rival on Saturday.
