Vietnam wins top prize at ASEAN environment photo contest
A Vietnamese photography recently won the first prize at the ASEAN environment-themed photography contest in Malaysia, said the Ministry of Culture and Information.
According to the Department of Fine Arts and Photography under the Ministry of Culture and Information, photographer Duc Huy took home the top prize for his photography work entitled Save the green seed.
Previously, Huys work and nine other photographers works were chosen among 700 photos by 300 photographers in Vietnam to attend the competition in Malaysia.
According to Nguyen Phu Cuong, deputy head of the Department of Fine Arts and Photography, Huys work was praised by the judges for expressing the photographers philosophy in a unique way without the intervention of digital techniques.
The photography contest aims to educate social communities on the potentials of and challenges in the environment.
