War exhibition kicks off in Vietnam capital

An exhibition themed The aftermath of bombs, explosive devices, and Agent Orange in Vietnamese wars opened Wednesday in a Hanoi museum.

It showcases 1,000 war-related artifacts.

A seven kilogram bomb, reportedly the largest-ever found in Indochina, is among the exhibits.

The explosive, unearthed in 2004 in Vietnams Gia Lai province in the central highlands, measures 1.19m around and 3.2m long.

The event, jointly hosted by the Vietnam Engineering Museum and the Vietnam War Remnants Museum, will go on until December 8.
